Marrs Elementary Students to Continue Virtual Learning Due to Water Main Break

Students of Marrs Elementary School in Mt. Vernon will have a second day of virtual learning on Tuesday due to continued work on a failed water line.

Officials with Marrs Elementary School say that due to continued work on a failed water line, Marrs Elementary students will have another Virtual Day on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Students who need to pick up a device can do so at Marrs Elementary until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, and from 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Students are not required to pick devices up if they have other means to complete assignments.

School officials say they hope to have school back in session on Wednesday.

Anyone entering the building is asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks.

Marrs Elementary students also had a Virtual Day on Monday due to the failed water line.
