The Southwest Indiana Association of Realtors awarded the grant to Warrick Parks Foundation to help the nonprofit organization maintain the Pippero Pup Park, that will be located in Friedman Park in Newburgh.

The grant will go to help build a shade structure in the park.

There is currently a fundraiser underway for the dog park to include; two fully fenced areas for small and large dogs, agility equipment for training, water fountains for furry friends and their owners, and a dog wash station.

According to Kim Seibert, Southwest Indiana Association of REALTORS Association Executive, “We know the value of a dog park – especially one that will be situated in the heart of several established and new residential communities. We are excited to have been able to serve as the conduit to this grant and our local REALTORS look forward to rolling up our sleeves and helping build the shaded area for visitors and their pups to enjoy.”

It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon throughout the Tri-State, but despite our seemingly endless supply of sunshine today, temperatures remained more than 10° cooler than the norm for this time of the year. Fortunately, today's peak temperature of 65° represents our coolest anticipated afternoon high temperature through the remainder of our extended forecast. While it is indeed encouraging that temperatures will gradually rise through the rest of the work week into the weekend ahead, we'll still have to deal with temperatures back down into the upper 30s and low 40s early Thursday morning.
