WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone announced Wednesday its entry into two separate definitive agreements to sell five of its service areas.

According to WOW!'s announcement, the service areas being sold are the Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, service areas and its Chicago, Evansville, Indiana, and Anne Arundel, Maryland, service areas for $1.125 billion and $661 million, respectively.

That brings the total transaction gross proceeds to approximately $1.786 billion.

Astound Broadband has agreed to acquire WOW!'s Evansville service area.

Until the close of the transaction, which is expected in the second half of 2021, customers should see no changes to their high-speed data, cable or telephone services. WOW! remains dedicated to delivering exceptional broadband solutions.

As part of the transaction, WOW! says it some of its employees from its Evansville market will remain with WOW!, while some may be integrated into Astound Broadband and others may leave the business.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
