We're starting this Friday on the comfortable side, with temps in the 50s. Thanks to the strong southerly flow, we'll have no issue climbing quickly through the morning. There is a small chance of some light shower activity, but otherwise it will stay pleasant under partly cloudy skies.

We're bringing back the summer-like trend this afternoon! Isolated showers are possible through the day with highs in the low 80s.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed us under a "1" on the Threat Index for Severe Weather, which is a marginal risk. The main timeline of any strong storm activity developing looks between 7PM-12AM. The main threats are gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and small hail. Otherwise, it looks to mainly bring us strong thunderstorm activity. In the case we may see some severe weather, make sure to stay aware of the changing conditions by tuning into 44News and downloading the Storm Team 44 App.

It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon throughout the Tri-State, but despite our seemingly endless supply of sunshine today, temperatures remained more than 10° cooler than the norm for this time of the year. Fortunately, today's peak temperature of 65° represents our coolest anticipated afternoon high temperature through the remainder of our extended forecast. While it is indeed encouraging that temperatures will gradually rise through the rest of the work week into the weekend ahead, we'll still have to deal with temperatures back down into the upper 30s and low 40s early Thursday morning.
