The Warrick Parks Foundation is selling $5 half-pot tickets.

The goal is to raise money to help maintain the connecting trails in Newburgh and Friedman Park.

Officials say this project is especially important as they have noticed park usage increasing during the pandemic.

"People have found that they can gather safely and be with family and friends --during even the most difficult of times," said Laurel Meny, executive director of the Warrick Parks Foundation. "So, the parks kind of bring people together. So, we're hopeful to raise money that can then be used so people's grandkids and kids can use these for years to come."

The half pot winner will be announced on April 3rd, which will be the end of the Easter celebration at Friedman Park.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
