Winds will be rough at times through the day. The National Weather Service has issued Wind Advisories for Lawrence, Richland and Wayne counties until 4PM. Wind speeds could spike as high as 40 MPH in those communities. Elsewhere, conditions will be breezy as well. Most Tri-Staters we experience winds sustained at 10-20 MPH regionwide.
Secondly to the blustery conditions, showers will be rolling into the Tri-State as early as 1PM. Scattered rainfall will impactful for your evening commute. Additionally, a line of heavier rain will progress through the region from the hours of 7PM and 9PM. The shower threat will wind down by 10PM; however, frigid air will quickly rush in.
In fact, we could experience a 25-degree drop in a span of 8 hours. Your Christmas Eve will be quite the different story. Temperatures will be contained in the upper-20s for most of the day with scattered flurries possible. The bottom really drops by Christmas morning with temperatures cooling to 16º by daybreak. The northwest breeze will make it feel like 2°.
