What a breath of fresh air!! The rain is out of here and we are welcoming a lot of sunshine for the next seven days! Right now, conditions are clear and cool. We are making improvements, but most of us woke up to temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. Our low temperature in the River City dipped to 37°. But, lets not forget the blustery winds out of the northwest. I know you had to have felt it this morning. Wind chill temps were below freezing in most of our surrounding communities.

Heading into your Friday afternoon expect crystal clear skies with afternoon highs topping out at 52°. Unfortunately, the digits will be dropping through the afternoon commute. High school football playoff matchups will be kicking off at 45° on the thermometer. Don't forget to grab the blankets, gloves, and hats!

The cold and clear conditions will carry over into our Halloween, but it's going to be another bitter start to the morning. The Tri-State will be waking up to temperatures in the mid 30s with the potential of frost. No need to worry, tomorrow afternoon will be back in the low 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Don't forget to Fall Back, Saturday night! The official time for people to turn the clocks back an hour is at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1st. You might get an extra hour of sleep, but it will also be the start of getting “darker earlier” days.

Conditions are dry, but chilly. Winds have strengthened out of the north making it feel bitterly cold. As we head into the overnight hours temperatures will fall into the mid 20s. As winds stay gusty out of the north it will make it feel more like the teens Sunday morning under clear skies. The majority of the Tri-State will remain dry come Sunday afternoon. There is a slim chance that some of our communities across the far southern reaches of the Tri-State could see some light snowfall early in the afternoon, but it's looking like it will stay south and east of the Tri-State. We'll climb to a high temperature of 38° with sunny and breezy conditions. Gusts out of the north could reach 25-30 MPH.
