According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, a potentially armed and dangerous suspect was taken into custody following a pursuit on Evansville's west side Tuesday night.
It began just before 9:00 p.m, according to an alert posted by Col. Noah Robinson of the VCSO. Deputies were seeking a suspect wanted on felony weapons charges who ran from deputies in the area of N. St. Joesph Ave. and W. Franklin St.
According to the emergency alert, the suspect was a heavy-set male wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants.
The VSCO posted an update about 45 minutes later, saying the suspect had been arrested.
