Woman Crashes Into METS Bus, Lies to Police: EPD

Woman hits METS bus with her car, then lies to police about who was driving.

Evansville Police say 27-year-old Carneluia Fields crashed her car into a METS bus.

Officers say Fields was driving with a suspended driver's license, no insurance and falsely reporting information to police.

According to court records the accident happen at Hwy 41 and Riverside Drive. When officers questioned Fields, they say she was lying about who was operating the car at the time of the crash.

EPD says Fields had several children in the car without car seats.

Fields is currently behind bars at the Vanderburgh County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

The Storm Prediction Center has place most of the Tri State under a "1" and "2"; meaning an isolated-to-scattered threat of severe storms tonight. Between the hours of 8PM-12AM a line of storms will be progressing north-to-south through the area. Damaging wind gust and large size hail are the two threats.
