The Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation recently presented an award of over $78,000 to Youth First, Inc.

Thanks to the grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, Youth First says its clinical team has been equipped with HIPAA-compliant telehealth tools and training.

"This opportunity from Anthem really helped us to be able to continue our work in the schools," explained Youth First Social Worker Katie Omohundro. "Without that and especially with COVID, attendance issues, and my attendance issues due to my health condition, we were able to keep rolling. I'm very thankful for that."

The check for $78,574 was presented to Youth First, Inc. at Thompkins Middle School in Evansville.

Youth First partners with 92 schools across 11 Indiana counties.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
