Tracy Felty rejoined the WEVV Storm Team 44 in June 2015 as a Meteorologist. He had been the weekend Meteorologist at WEVV in the late 1990's.

Originally from Shawneetown, IL he grew up watching the Evansville meteorologists, like Marcia Yockey, Lloyd Lindsay Young and Mike Maguire and the interest in weather, followed the blizzards of ‘78 and ‘79 and the Marion Illinois tornado in 1980.

Tracy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Southern Illinois University, and a Master’s Degree in Science from Mississippi State University. As well as attended the University of Southern Indiana while interning at the National Weather Service in Evansville.

Tracy has been a meteorologist in Columbus, Mississippi, Evansville, IN., Terre Haute, IN and Harrisburg, IL. As well as reporter/photographer for the Madisonville Messenger Newspaper, Harrisburg Daily Register Newspaper, Gallatin County Democrat Newspaper and Evansville Courier Newspaper.

Tracy is a member of the Shawneetown Fire Department and has traveled around the country, to such locations as: Chicago, Indianapolis, Washington D.C., St. Louis, New Orleans, Charlotte, Louisville, and even back at Mississippi State University, detailing the effects of an EF-4 tornado that struck Saline-Gallatin Counties on Leap Day 2012.

“I grew up in the Tri-State and my goal was to be a meteorologist in Evansville and now I hope I inspire someone watching out there to follow their goal too!”
