Hopkins County Clerk's Office Closes Over Flu and COVID-19 Cases

The Hopkins County Clerk's Office says it's temporarily closing due to a high number of COVID-19 and flu cases in the office.

The office will be closed on Friday, Jan. 14.

"The Office will be closed Friday, January 14th due to an exceptionally high number of Covid and flu cases within the office," a statement from the clerk's office said. "There is not one department that has not been hit. I apologize for any inconvenience."

Hopkins County, like every other county in the state of Kentucky, is currently in the "Red" on the state's COVID-19 Incidence Rate Map, indicating a high number of average daily COVID-19 cases.

In its last weekly update, the Hopkins County Health Department reported 612 new positive cases of COVID-19. The health department releases new reports every Monday.

The clerk's office is typically open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
