WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Saturday morning in Warrick County.
The Warrick County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the scene around 6 a.m. after someone called 911 and said that a man had been shot inside a home on SR 161 in Tennyson.
When deputies arrived, they say they found 52-year-old William Joseph Gates dead inside the house, and that there were other people outside.
The sheriff's office says that everyone involved is being interviewed, but that no arrests have been made at this time. They say the public is at no risk, and that no suspects are actively being sought out.
WCSO says that the Indiana State Police is helping with the investigation.
No other details have been released.
