...Areas of Dense Fog Early This Morning... .An area of dense fog is moving northeast over southern Indiana and the northern half of central Kentucky this morning. The lowest visibility in the dense fog may last 2 or 3 hours before conditions begin to improve. Winds from the southwest will continue to increase behind an area of low pressure moving across Kentucky early this morning, and the wind should help lift visibility in many areas by 7 AM EST. ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ THIS MORNING... The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ this morning.

* VISIBILITY...One-quarter mile or less at times in dense fog.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility. Drivers should be prepared for rapid changes in visibility if traveling early this morning.

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.


Flood Warning

Areas Affected: Butler; Muhlenberg; Ohio

...The National Weather Service in Louisville KY has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kentucky... Green River at Rochester affecting Butler, Ohio and Muhlenberg Counties. .Heavy rain from the past 24 hours will cause the river to rise. The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flood Warning for the Green River at Rochester.

* From late Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

* At 2:00 PM CST Monday the stage was 10.8 feet.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Wednesday morning and continue rising to a crest of 19.8 feet early Friday morning.

* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Reeds and Rochester Ferries remain closed. KY 369 floods one mile north of Rochester. &&

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Indiana, western Kentucky and southern Illinois. Specifically, the advisory will stretch along and north of a line from Pinckneyville and West Frankfort Illinois to just south of Henderson and Owensboro in West Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of dense fog continue along the Interstate 64 corridor in southern Illinois and southwest Indiana...extending southward into northwest Kentucky. Visibilities will remain low across the area until 6 AM CST, before lifting from south to north.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

* Flood Warning for the Rough River near Dundee.

* From late tonight to Tuesday evening.

* At 7:45 PM CST Monday the stage was 23.9 feet.

* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to 26.0 feet. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening to 20.2 feet.

* Impact...At 25.0 feet, County roads between Dundee and Narrows flood.

* Impact...At 26.0 feet, County roads near Sunnydale flood.

* Impact...At 27.0 feet, KY 919 flood at Underwood and Clifty Huff Roads near Narrows.

* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Trailers courts in Hartford flood.
